Upper Severn Estuary seen from the air; 20 05 2011

I was lucky enough to get these views on a very early morning flight out of Bristol. Tide low, the rising sun’s reflections showing all the channels and sand banks, and the course of the river in the distance. In the main picture the triangular lagoon for Oldbury Nuclear Power Station is clearly visible. In the second picture ,The Noose, the huge bending channel, is clearly visible amongst the sand flats.
