Berkeley Pill; 25 01 2021

Once a small harbour. The Western side of the Pill is inaccessible as it is the site of Berkeley Nuclear Power Station, which was the first in the world to produce power for consumer use. It is now being dismantled – very slowly. Sluices now control the tide’s ingress up the pill and into the levels. Views over to Lydney harbour. Fabulous mistletoe on the trees of the levels. As ever – lots of driftwood on the tideline. Fabulous patterns in the waters.
